Red fruits burst from the glass: fresh and preserved raspberries, strawberry-rhubarb pie, and a hint of fresh blueberries. The fruits are balanced by a deep earthiness with notes of freshly fallen leaves on a warm forest floor and cut green tobacco leaves. Toasty graham cracker comes from the grenache and the heavy, dark notes of molasses, tar and cocoa powder from the Syrah and Mourvèdre.
This wine will benefit from being served cool and decanted as it is a lighter-bodied GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre).
Sommelier’s Notes: The supple tannins, balanced alcohol, and refreshing acidity would be a delicious companion to summer fare like hearty vegetable and grain salads and grilled lighter meats.
