2015 Rockwood Blanc
The golden straw color of this wine comes from lengthy time on the grape skins similar to red wine. This contributes to its texture, concentration, and savoriness. The fruit is baked in character on the nose, with hints of dried lemon peel and opal apple. There is a creamy, sourdough-like quality with added weight to the mouthfeel. Flavors such as chamomile and waxy honey come through although this wine is dry. A touch of cashew nut flavor at the finish adds to the high complexity of this wine.
