Violet and ruby in hue, fruit-forward, and medium-bodied. Fresh raspberries and grapefruit give way to ripe raisins and clove with a hint of licorice. Grenache is the “G” in a “GSM” (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre blend), and generally adds spice and aromatic characteristics when blended. On its own, Grenache is lighter bodied with higher acidity. Pair with roasted root vegetables and meats seasoned with cumin and Asian 5-spice.
