2017 Terret Noir
A beautiful ruby color fading to a slightly pink/salmon colored rim, on the nose one is met by crunchy red fruits such as tart raspberry, red currants and even a pomegranate-like flavor on the palate. There is rhubarb, dried pink roses, and some earthy tones like that of wet clay. Fresh thyme and even a charcuterie note add complexity here. This is a cerebral wine with a slight tannic grip making this a perfect pairing with pork, and marbled beef.
