Notes of fresh blueberries, raspberries, lavender, and pink peppercorn, some fertile soil undertones as well. This Syrah is de-stemmed, polished, with a bit more fruit than its whole cluster companion. A hint of oak adds a touch of vanilla and brown sugar to the long finish.
Dried black cherry with fresh cranberry and notes of herbaceous flavors, including oregano and thyme. Dried carnations are present as florals, along with a prosciutto-like cured meat element. Finally, a delicate touch of cedar and baking spice arrives in the finish. A stunning pairing with marbled beef or charcuterie.
Round and rich in a ripe and bold fruit forward style. Honeyed and dried fruits, brown pear, yellow apple, and candied lemon are present with a touch of brie cheese, cereal grain, and fresh cream to compliment the fruit. The florals are reminiscent of yellow rose and peony. This wine shows elegant and ripe and is the perfect pairing with spicy foods or rich cheeses.
On the nose, the wine displays ripe red raspberries, crushed cherries, and a touch of tart black plum. Some of the classic Mourvèdre attributes are here: peppercorn, turned earth, and iron. The palate is mouthwatering and lengthy in its finish. This wine leaves you with a lingering herbal bay leaf flavor and a gravelly mineral tone. This is complex and delicious now and will also improve with time.
A richer style of Rosé, deep in color and very refined. The nose is rich with expressive red fruits like ripe cranberry, red and golden raspberry, and a touch of tart cherry. It has a floral medley of cherry blossom, elderflower, and pink roses. There is an essence of riverbed-like minerality. The palate is an explosion of mouth-watering red fruits, high-toned florals, and a plummy finish. This is a triumph in the Rosé department.
Our favorite white blend, Guejito Summer, is back in classic for with 50/50 Roussanne and Viognier. The nose is packed with just ripe yellow pear, fresh green apple, aloe, and lemon zest. The wine shows lemon and lime blossom florals, wet slate, and tarragon. The palate mirrors the nose but with a touch of pineapple and slightly creamy palate.
Done in a more oxidative style, this Grenache features poached raspberry, dried fig, and prune-like fruits. A balsamic reduction, violets, and dried thyme create a complicated nose. The palate is assertive and grippy, making this a perfect pairing for marbled steak or charcuterie. The finish is long and bold. This is a terrific wine to age or open today.
This clean, fresh Viognier is superb, with an introductory medley of tropical fruits on the nose, followed by lychee, green mango, and mandarin rind. High-toned florals in the form of jasmine and white lilies provide an aromatic lift that is balanced by an abundance of chalky mineral flavors. A long and lean finish lingers with floral and tropical fruits.
A very bright rendition of Counoise, with delicate red fruits on the nose and palate, followed by tart and ripe red cherries, raspberry, and red currant. There is a bouquet of hibiscus and red carnation florals that leads into wet clay and turned earth met by herbaceous sage. The palate is soft and elegant and will be further elevated with a slight chill.
High toned, complex, and refined. Featuring just ripe red currant and blackberries, crushed black pepper, violets, and abundant with whole cluster evidence. The whole cluster style gives a greener, parsley and pine essence. Earthy tones persist on the palate with tapenade, finishing with a hint of coffee.
A very delicate red that is delicious with a chill on it. This vintage includes aromas of red fruits in the form of currant, strawberry, and tart cranberry. The wine is a subtle, with delicate pink roses and fresh peppermint on the nose. The palate is slightly tannic, earthy, and woody making this an excellent pairing with pungent cheeses and charcuterie.
Our 2021 Chardonnay is an exemplary classic example of California style, both bold and round in texture. The nose and palate are immersed in lemon curd, spiced green apple, and banana. A medley of citrus blossoms, yellow carnation, and brie cheese all show here, along with a hint of that well-loved fresh churned butter note. This beautiful Chardonnay is complete with a long, smooth finish.
